About me
Rabbi Amber Powers (she/her), RRC ’02, serves as Executive Vice President of Reconstructing Judaism. Her work focuses on internal leadership and management, including supervision of the senior staff, organizational and financial strategy and workplace culture. She also administers RRC’s financial aid program and is a member of the Regular Faculty. Amber served as a member of RRC’s academic administration from 2004-2016, including leading the department of admissions and recruitment. Before returning to RRC, she served as a congregational rabbi. Amber is an alumna of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. She lives in Abington, PA with her partner, Cherie, a psychotherapist, and their three cats. Their extraordinary son, Elijah, lives nearby in a group home for autistic young adults with high support needs.
